Sixty seventh Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC)

Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA) - A federation of five National Pharmaceutical Associations as its constituents - is the apex body representing Indian Pharmacists working in various capacities, viz, Pharmaceutical Industry, Research & Development, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Academics, Drugs Control Departments, Hospitals, Community & Clinical Pharmacy, Marketing etc. Total strength of all 5 federation associations would be more than 25,000 Professionals / Pharmacists as members.

 

The five federating associations of IPCA include: 
1. IPA - Indian Pharmaceutical Association 
2. IPGA - Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association 
3. IHPA - Indian Hospital Pharmacists Association
4. APTI - Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India 
5. AIDCOC - All India Drugs Control Officers Confederation

 

The First Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) was organized at Kolkata in December 1948, with Prof. M.L. Schroff as its President. Thereafter, each year Indian Pharmaceutical Congress has been organized successfully. The professionals elected to preside over the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress during these years have been persons of great eminence in their fields. The presidents have been personalities from Pharmaceutical Industry, Research & Development, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Academics, Drugs Control Department, Hospitals, Community & Clinical Pharmacy, Marketing. Intelligent and appropriate expression has been given by each of them to particular issue and fields of prime importance in the form of a theme statement.

Opening ceremony will take place in the main pandal. Please be on time as high number of attendees is expected. The opening ceremony is open to all registered participants and their registered accompanying persons.

Breaks: 

The coffee/tea breaks (15-20 minutes) during the sessions will take place during forenoon and afternoon sessions. Between the sessions there will be a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00 hours. Pharma Exposition:

“Pharma Exposition” will provide a platform to the participating organizations to showcase their products and services to the delegates of the congress and the business visitors coming from India and abroad. Senior executives and decision makers for procurement of bulk drugs, machinery, packaging materials, ancillary equipment and services will visit the exhibition.

 

The exhibition for the first time will have a separate pavilion for academic institutions providing a platform for showcasing their academic programs and research capabilities to attract potential students and the industry for admissions and collaborative opportunities respectively.

 

The exhibition once again for the first time will provide a separate pavilion for the Pharma companies to showcase their medication range and scientific services for the benefit of healthcare providers.

 

The overwhelming presence of JSS Hospital in Mysuru, that has influenced the healthcare delivery of region, has attracted number of corporate hospitals and medical teaching institutions in the region. The healthcare providers including leading Medical professionals, Dentists and Ayurvedic practitioners will be invited to the pharma exhibition as this is the first time such a mega event being organized at Mysuru.

A mixture of classical and contemporary entertainment programs by professional groups as well as students has been organized.
 
 

Accreditation For Continuing Education:

Continuing education is mandatory for all pharmacists and faculty for the purposes of continuing their professional responsibilities and registration with State Pharmacy Councils as per various regulations of Pharmacy Council of India.
For the first time in the history of the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress the Pharmacy Council of India has accredited the congress sessions as continuing education program for the purposes mentioned above and participants are advised to acquire a certificate of attendance.

The Scientific Services Committee (SSC) has great pleasure in inviting you to submit findings of your original scientific work for presentation in various scientific sessions during the Congress. Please visit the website www.scientificipca.org for complete details. The presenting author must be a member of any of the federating associations (i.e. IPA, IHPA, APTI, IPGA & AIDCOC) th or a registered delegate to 67 IPC, Mysuru. The abstract must be submitted online on www.scientificipca.org No hard copies will be entertained. All queries related to the abstract submission should be done through email only. The best paper from each session will be selected for oral presentation.
